Alameda Chabuca Granda

You’ll find this walkway right behind the Government Palace in the historic center. It sits right along the Rímac River. It’s a good spot for a walk once you finish looking at the main square. Most people head here in the late afternoon or evening.

The main draw is definitely the street food. You can grab some picarones, which are donuts made from sweet potato, or try the grilled beef heart skewers called anticuchos. There are often street performers and comedians on the small stages too. It gets pretty lively with locals.
