Cristo Blanco

If you look up from Cusco’s main square, you’ll see a large white statue of Jesus on the hill. It sits at about 11,800 feet and gives you a clear view of the city’s red roofs. It’s right next to the Sacsayhuamán ruins, so you can easily walk over after seeing the stones.

The statue was a gift from the Palestinian Arab community in 1945. It is free to visit and made of granite and plaster. At night, it stays lit up and is visible from most parts of the city center.
