The Manuel Chavez Ballon museum is about a 20-minute walk from the main town of Aguas Calientes. It is a quiet spot located near the bridge where you start the hike up to Machu Picchu. If you like history, this is where you can see the actual artifacts found at the site, like stone tools and ceramics.

The entrance fee is around 22 soles for adults. It is a good place to learn how the Inca built the citadel. There is also a small botanical garden right next to the building.
