Royal Beach Club Santorini

We booked two nights at the Miami Marriott Biscayne Bay before boarding Icon of the Seas, mainly because it is so close to the cruise port. It stands on the water just north of downtown, a five-minute walk from the Adrienne Arsht Center stop on the free Metromover, which made our cheap train route from the airport work.
Our Biscayne Bay View room was modern and a really good size, with a huge bed and a large rain shower. The view was partial, with another building in front, so check which view you have booked.
The rooftop pool deck on the fifth floor, with the bay on one side and the skyline on the other, is the place to unwind after a long day. Budget for a destination fee of about $35 a night on top of the room rate. PortMiami is usually about ten minutes away by Uber, but leave plenty of time on embarkation morning. Traffic into the port turned our ride into almost an hour.
Modern rooms, great beds and close to the port. We would definitely stay here again.

Our full write-ups from Miami Marriott Biscayne Bay: the room, the food, and whether we'd book it again.
A comfortable, modern base for the night before a Miami cruise, with a great rooftop pool deck and plenty to eat in the shared lobby. Ask for a full bay view, budget for the $35 nightly destination fee, and allow extra time for the drive to the port.
