Royal Beach Club Santorini

Walk in and order at the counter; ask for a taster if you cannot decide. Expect a queue on warm evenings and at weekends.
Azúcar opened on Calle Ocho in 2011, and the enormous ice cream cone above its door has become one of Little Havana's landmarks. Its founder, Suzy Batlle, makes ice cream from the flavours of a Cuban childhood, such as mamey, guava, plantain and café con leche, with the list changing through the year.
The one to order is Abuela María, named after her grandmother. It folds guava, cream cheese and crushed Maria biscuits into vanilla ice cream: a Cuban classic in a scoop, and the sweet end to our Little Havana food tour.
Order the Abuela María. It is the flavour everyone comes for, and it lives up to it.

Location
Azúcar is at 1503 SW 8th Street on Calle Ocho, next door to Ball & Chain and a short walk from Domino Park.
