Aguas Calientes town Centre

Aguas Calientes is a small town tucked into the mountains. What makes it interesting is that there are no roads leading here. You can only get here by taking the Peru Rail train or by hiking in. Because of this, you won’t see any cars or buses driving through the streets.

The town is quite compact and easy to walk around in about twenty minutes. It’s mostly filled with hotels, restaurants, and a large market near the station. Most people use it as a final base before heading up to the Machu Picchu citadel the next morning.
