Open-air food stand with coconuts

Los Pinareños Fruteria

Miami, United States

Plan your visit

Order a fresh guarapo and take a look at the little garden and animals out the back.

About this place

This is an open-air fruit stand right on the main street in Little Havana. It looks like an old-school market with crates of tropical fruits like mangoes and papayas stacked everywhere. They even keep some chickens and pigs in the back, which is a bit surprising to see in the middle of the city.

The main reason to visit is for the fresh guarapo. They crush raw sugarcane through a press to make a cold, sweet drink while you watch. It’s a simple, local spot to grab a snack or a juice while you explore the neighborhood.

Our take
A true Calle Ocho landmark. The fresh guarapo was the perfect first stop, ice cold and exactly what the heat called for.
