Ocean Drive is a public street accessible at any hour without admission.
Ocean Drive is a beachfront road in Miami Beach running alongside a stretch of historic Art Deco hotels, bars, and restaurants. The buildings along this strip date from the 1930s and 1940s and represent one of the largest concentrations of Art Deco architecture in the United States.
The street sees activity throughout the day and into the night, with outdoor cafes occupying much of the pavement in front of the hotels. Pedestrians, cyclists, and vehicles share the area, and the road is generally busy across most hours.
The Art Deco architecture is characterised by pastel facades, curved corners, and decorative detailing typical of the period. Many of the buildings have been preserved and are listed as part of the Miami Beach Architectural Historic District.
Location
Ocean Drive runs along the eastern edge of Miami Beach, facing the Atlantic Ocean in Miami-Dade County, Florida.
