You are not here for the setting or the story. You are here because you want a proper meal without a theatrical price tag.
The menu runs to traditional grill dishes, pittas and salads, which is exactly what the place has always done. There is a terrace for outdoor seating, and the whole operation is compact and unfussy. You order, you eat, and the food does what it is supposed to do without asking you to admire it first.
